Every time your furnace or air conditioner runs, air moves through your ductwork — along with the dust, pet dander, pollen, and construction debris that settle inside it over the years. Superior Air Duct Cleaning removes that buildup at the source, using professional negative-pressure equipment operated by NADCA-certified technicians.

We photograph the inside of your ducts before we start and after we finish. You see exactly what your family was breathing, and exactly how clean the system is now — no guesswork, no take-our-word-for-it.

What's included

Whole-system source removal

Supply and return runs, trunk lines, and registers cleaned with truck-grade negative-pressure equipment — not a shop vac.

Before & after photos

Photo documentation of your own ductwork on every job, so the result is provable.

Duct inspection

A camera look inside the system before work begins — if a cleaning isn't the right answer, we'll tell you.

Optional disinfecting add-on

Pair with whole-house disinfection and deodorizing using 100% natural agents.

How a real duct cleaning works

Scroll the four stages — the duct responds. This is the NADCA source-removal method our crews follow on every job, simplified but not sugar-coated.

COLLECTOR
  1. 1 Seal + negative air

The collection unit connects to your main trunk and puts the whole system under negative pressure — from now on, loosened debris can only travel one direction: out.

  2. 2 Agitation, vent by vent

High-pressure compressed-air tools and air whips are worked through every supply and return run to dislodge dust and debris, while our powerful vacuum truck keeps the system under negative pressure and pulls the loosened material out of the home.

  3. 3 Capture at the source

The negative-air machine pulls everything the agitation loosens down the trunk and into the sealed collector — nothing recirculates into your rooms.

  4. 4 Verify with the camera

The same duct runs are re-photographed from the same angles. You compare before and after, then sign off. That's the proof every job ends with.

When should ducts be cleaned?

NADCA's general guidance is to have ductwork inspected regularly and cleaned as needed — typically every three to five years for most homes. Some situations call for it sooner:

  • After a renovation, remodel, or new construction (drywall dust settles in ducts)
  • When moving into a home whose duct history you don't know
  • Visible dust puffing from registers, or dust returning quickly after cleaning
  • Allergy or asthma flare-ups that track with the HVAC running
  • Pets, smoking, or musty odors that circulate through the house

Why NADCA certification matters

Anyone can rent a rotobrush. NADCA (the National Air Duct Cleaners Association) sets the industry standard for source-removal duct cleaning — covering equipment, process, and verification. Superior Air Duct Cleaning is NADCA-certified and has specialized in this one trade across the tri-state for 25+ years. Duct and dryer vent cleaning is all we do — it's not a side business bolted onto an HVAC company.

Air Duct Cleaning FAQs

How long does an air duct cleaning take?

Most single-family homes take a few hours depending on system size, number of runs, and how much buildup we find. We confirm a time window when we quote the job.

Will duct cleaning help my allergies?

Removing settled dust, dander, and pollen from the ductwork means the HVAC system stops recirculating those contaminants. Less dust settles back on your furniture, and our before & after photos show exactly what was removed.

How much does air duct cleaning cost?

We price by register (vent) count. Air duct cleaning is $500 per system covering the first 10 registers — $600 if the furnace is on the second floor, in a crawl space or in the attic, or if you are outside our close service area — plus $20 for each register after the first 10. Count your supply registers and return grilles and the instant estimate tool gives you the exact number. Quotes are free — call (724) 847-9444 or request one online.
